For my project in Computer Science Class, I am planning on creating a baseball store as apart as the alternate universe. The baseball store will start have multiple sections that will include everything needed to play the game and improve one's skills. One section of the store will sell baseball equipment seperated into youth, high school, college, and professional level equipment. We will have trained professional managers who can assist anyone with choosing the correct equipment for their skill level. Another section of the store will be a batting cage and a room with padded floors. This section will be available for rent or for individual use. Also on certain nights, there will be baseball coaches at our store that will lead different skill building sessions, that will vary in cost.

The website that I am making to support this store will provide an online connection to the store. Through the website, a customer will be able to check our store hours, get the number to call the store, and email baseball coaches. It will also include a schedule of events for camps and skill sessions that will be held in the facilities. You will also be able to sign up for the camps through the website. It will be a fully functioning site that supplies the basic information of the store, such as the location.

My podcast will follow up on the same theme as my website. Combined with three other kids in my class, we will broadcast a high school game between Saint Mary's High School and Archbishop Spalding. This will be a game will be generated through a game called dice baseball. Our teacher Mr. Constantine or one of the group members will roll the dice that controls what happens in the game. The game involves rolling two dice for which the values determine the outcome of the pitch. A higher number will bring about a better effect for the team up at bat. In the broadcast, we will try and make it as real as possible, imitating professional broadcasters. We hope to do a complete game as long as there is enough time to complete the project.

Neo and the Counselor were discussing the idea of control. Control is an interesting idea. One can never truely be free. Something in everyone's life exerts some kind of control. For the people in the matrix, the machines control the minds of everyone. In real life, people are controlled by physical laws and moral implications of one's actions.

Neo just realized that the Oracle is part of the machines program and Neo has to wonder whether or not he can trust her. In talking to the Oracle, Neo starts to understand the dream he has been having. Neo has gained the ability to see into the future, but he cant see past the decisions he does not understand. Neo has to see the keymaker in order to end the war between man and machines.

Agent Smith has returned and is no longer an agent of the computer system. When Neo ended Smith's life, he overwrite part of Smith's program so that he could not die. By releasing him from the system, he gained powers the other agents could not possess.

The wife of the French man led Neo to the Keymaker in revenge for her husband cheating on her. The Keymaker provides the key Neo needs to get to the source in order to end the war. Morphius and Trinity are left to fight off two guys that have the ability to become spirits that cannot be injured. Trick doors keep seperating Neo from Morphius and Trinity, so he has to fly 500 miles to catch up.

The Matrix Day Three

We began today with one of the best scenes in the movie, when Trinity and Neo come in to rescue Morphius from the agents. Neo and Trinity are lighting up the place with their multitude of guns. Neo just dodged bullets just like the agents. After saving Trinity from the falling helicopter, everyone knows that Neo is the one.

Neo starts to believe that he is the one when he decides to fight the agent instead of running. Neo is able to escape the agent, but he returns right away. He then has to run from three agents so he can get out of the matrix.

Although the agent unloaded a clip into Neo's body, because he is the One. Neo is able to live through it and kill the agents.

The movie ends with Neo flying around in the Matrix.

The Matrix

The Matrix has some deep points behind the movie. One cannot really tell what is real and what is fake. There is no way to tell whether or not our world is real or fake. We could all be part of a computer program such as the Matrix.

I think almost any normal person would react the same way Neo did to the truth about the Matrix.

Neo, Morphius, Trinity, and the other members of the crew are about to be sold out by one of their own who wants to live in ignorance. He made a deal with the Agent Smith in order to return.

The Oracle tells Neo not to worry about a vase, which he breaks within 2 seconds. The oracle brings up an interesting point. If she had not said anything, would he have still broken the vase. That could really mess with someone's mind.

Neo seems to misinterpret the message from the oracle. She reveals to him that he has the gift, but he just does not believe in himself yet.

Part of the phrophecy came true, when Morphius sacrificed himself for Neo and the others.

  • Trinity just beat up a large group of cops. She seems to have super human powers.
  • She just threw the air two times, one of which she went through a wall
  • Neo's computer is talking to him and seems to be predicting the future
  • Trinity and Neo meet for the first time.
  • Neo has been captured by the agents and is being interviewed.

Today in computer science class, I worked on a website about the Hacker Ethic. I wanted to get ahead for our assessment on monday. I enyjoy making websites, because it allows me to express my creative side. I hope to study Computer Science in college, so I want to practice programming.

On Friday in Computer Science class, we watched a movie on the development of computers over time. The movie was full of facts on the major events that allowed for the creation of todays personal computers and supercomputers. My previous post gives some notes that I took about the movie and some of the major events in the development of computers. I greatly enjoyed the video because I learned about what make makes a modern computer so fast and powerful and what protypes brought about our modernday computers.

Babbage-creator of the difference engine, built with his own funds, a device that could information of could be placed into and would give a result.
Babbage- had the idea of a computer that could solve any time of equation. the store was stored in the computer numbers to be used in the calculation, like the idea of memory in todays modern computers.
Ada- had a relationship with babbage, met at a dinner party, demonstrated the difference enginge for her, computer language named for her, worlds for proggrammer, detailed texts kept the idea of the computer alive

census-used punchcards to take a count of the people in the united states, took only six weeks to count the 62 million population of the united states. Halloworth- "Tabulating Machine Company" sold all of his assests to improve his machine to be used in railroad

polish man offered to give the British the key to the Enigma. The British created a computer like machine called the collosus that could do one task, break the Enigma code.

firing tables could not be produced fast enough for the artillary. John Mockery suggested that he create a supercomputer "eniac" that could calculate one trajectory in one hundred seconds. Eniac 30000 resistors, 18000 vacum tubes. could not make its own analysis, had to be reprogrammed after each use.

John von Neuman created the idea for the modern computer, with a processor, memory, cpu, input and output devices. created an idea for internal programming of a computer.

univac- business computer. an entire computer system for business. automatically printed the results.

1952- a program created a machine that predicted that Eisenhower would win in a landslide. Off by only one percent of the actual vote. Proved teh power and usefulness of computers.

Thomas Watson Junior bought the Tabulating Machine Company, owner of IBM. Kept all their data on cards, storage was expensive, used three quarters of the building. Created the 701. Dominated the business of mainframe computers.

Created the transistor, that replaced vacum tubes. Small, and generated little heat.

Integrated circuits incorporated resistors and transistor on a single chip.

microprocessor- an entire computer on a single chip. Contains a control unit, a clock.

apple 2- difficult to use but

The New Starter

The time has come for David Garrad to take over the starting for the Jaguars. The more mobile of the two quarterbacks won the starting job during preseason with his outstanding play in the games and being impressive in practice.
